Thelma Scates October 21, 1915 - August 8, 2013 Thelma Scates, 97, of Center, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Nacogdoches Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Smith and Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home. She was born October 21, 1915 in Tenaha to Jabus and Maude (Welch) Risinger. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Center. She loved church, yardwork and sewing. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Harrell Scates and Daughter, Dolly Scates. She is survived by: Nephews and Niece Numerous Other Family & Friends
