Heart Attack Fatal to Daniel E. Turvey Death came suddenly to Daniel Emory Turvey from a heart attack about 7:45 Monday night at his ranch home south of Eckley. Mr. Turvey and a daughter were walking across a pasture to the home of his son, Gerald. After walking about three-quarters of a mile, he remarked that he felt tired, then slumped to the ground. The daughter ran for her brother, and they brought him to Eckley, then called for the ambulance. He was brought to Yuma and a physician pronounced the cause of death as heart attack. Mr. Turvey was born on August 14, 1900 at Adams county, Iowa. He came to Yuma county many years ago, and the family made their home near Eckley. He is survived by his wife, Mary; five daughters, Delpha Campbell of Fort Morgan, Delores Blazer of Lamar, Mo., Ina Farmer of Yuma, Eva and Patricia of the home; two sons, Garnet and Gerald. Funeral service will be held from the Methodist church in Yuma at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. Moore Bell in charge. Morris Mortuary has charge of arrangements, and burial will be made in the Yuma cemetery.--Yuma Pioneer, Thursday, Nov. 10, 1949, Pg. 1
