Bio
Jerome R. Sumbera was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on July 31, 2011 at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Seymour, Texas on January 1, 1935 to Jerome J. and Rosie Lee Sumbera. He owned the JMS Company for 32 years. Some of Jerome's favorite pass times were dancing, fishing and being a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 20 years. Jerome was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jerome J. and Rosie Lee Sumbera. Jerome leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Margaret J. Sumbera; children: Patricia Ory, D'Ann Poland Molina (Richard); brothers and sisters: Eugene and Jerry Sumbera and Rose Lee Kajs; he is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery
