From the Bellingham Herald of 27 May 1980: BESSIRE, Ewing, age 80 of 1200 Birchwood, passed away Mon., May 26, 1980. Mr. Bessire had been a resident of Ferndale and Whatcom County since 1949 and is survived by 1 son, Craig of Bellingham, 1 brother, Tom Bessire of Denton, Texas, 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thurs., May 29 at 1:30 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery by Rev. Harold Minkler. Arrangements under the direction of Moles Funeral Home.
