Virgie Adams Fort, 91 of Shelbyville, Texas passed away Friday July 29, 2011 at Colonial Pines Nursing Home in San Augustine, Texas. She was born December 1, 1919 in San Augustine to Mac McKinney and Mary Sular Dwire McKinney. Ms. Fort was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star in San Augustine. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday August 1, 2011 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center with Brother Lamar Denby and Brother Billy Windham officiating. Interment will follow at West Hamilton Cemetery in Shelbyville. Pallbearers will be Danny Flournoy, Jimmy Rhame, David Lewis, Ronnie Hogue, Virgil Duke and Billy Davis. She is survived by: Daughter: Linda Windham and Husband Bro. Don of Shelbyville Brother: Tommy McKinney and wife Trish 3 Grandsons: Bryan Donald Windham of Camden, Arkansas Jeffery Nile Windham of Shreveport, Louisiana Jason Todd Windham Nephews: Arlion Lee, Adrian, and Tommy Also a number of great grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson Shane Parker, Brother Wade McKinney Mrs. Fort will be buried in West Hamilton Cemetery in Shelbyville
