Alfon Oscar Quitta June 22, 1920 — Oct. 27, 2004 Services for Alfon Oscar Quitta, 84, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The Revs. Rudy Junek and John Gant of Hope Evangelical Free Church will officiate. Burial will be in College Station Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Quitta died Wednesday at his home. He was born in Gonzales and lived in College Station most of his life. He was a manager for U-Tote-M Convenience Store. He served in the Air Force during World War II. Mr. Quitta was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4692, American Legion Post No. 159 and Hope Evangelical Free Church. Survivors include his wife, Nina Mae Quitta of College Station; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Hunter Lueckemeyer of Cameron, Pam and Gary Hitt of Amarillo and Debbie and J.D. Herman of Bryan; a brother, Albin Quitta of Dallas; a sister, Angelina Sebesta of Bryan; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.
