Bio
Martha was the daughter of James Hamilton. Her last home was in Grand Prairie, Texas, but she died in a hospital in Dallas. Martha (called "Mattie") married Raymond Austin Killingsworth in Polk Co. MO in 1891. Her parents were John Newton Hamilton and Margaret Towe. Her grandparents, Wood and Nancy Hamilton, were pioneers of Polk Co., having settled there as early as 1836. They were among the early settlers of Jackson Township. After R.A. and Mattie married, they brought their family first to Oklahoma and then to Texas. Their first children, Arvel, William, and Loran, were born in Indian Territory, Oklahoma. The latter six were born in TX.
