Henrietta M. Czapla, 87, of Columbus, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the Golden Living center in Columbus. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, with a 6 p.m. vigil, continuing 8:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, all at the funeral home. Henrietta Mae Czapla was born Aug. 17, 1923, in Columbus, to Michael and Lillian (Krzycki) Mielak. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Kramer High School in 1942. She married Raymond Czapla on Dec. 30, 1947, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Henrietta is survived by her husband, Raymond Czapla, of Columbus; son, Larry Czapla, of Duncan; son, Dave (Gina) Czapla, of Columbus; sister, Louise Wolfe, of Columbus; granddaughter, Nicole (Brad) Wangler, of Columbus; grandson, Toby Czapla, of Bennington; granddaughter, Courtney (Greg) Hamik, of Lincoln; grandson, Josh Czapla, of Ankeny Iowa; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Carson Hamik; and great-grandchildren, Chase and Emma Wangler, She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Mielak; mother, Lillian Mielak; brother, Marion Mielak; brother, Michael "Dick" Mielak Jr.; and infant grandson, Todd Czapla.
