"The Crete News", Crete, Nebraska, January 1977: Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 24 at the Kuncl Funeral Chapel for Rose Hladky Coffey, 80, who died Jan. 21, 1977 at the Crete Hospital, Crete, Nebraska. Mrs. Coffey was a housewife and a Fairmont Creamery employee. She was born in Saline County April 7, 1896, and married William Coffey in 1913. Her survivors include one son, William Coffey of Crete; two daughters, Helen Johns of Lincoln and Marie McDowell of Crete; one brother, Frank Hladky of Dorchester; one sister, Mrs. Anna Peters of Crete; 13 grand children; 11 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Mrs. Coffey was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Joe; daughter, Dorothy; brothers, Ed, Bill and Joe; and sisters, Mary and Emma. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Crete.
