Bio

Charles Amery Findley was born in Fairfield, Nebr., Nov. 4, 1886. He died in Friend February 15, 1964 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and and 11 days. On April 10, 1910 he married Emma Creighton, Seward. She preceded him in death May 12, 1956. To this union five children were born: one son, Leland, died in an airplane crash in 1944. He spent his entire life as a farmer in Seward county, and retired in Beaver Crossing. He is survived by three sons and one daughter; Maynard, Albion; Kenneth, Lincoln; John Eldon, Crete; and Pauline Wood, South Gate, Calif.; fourteen grandchildren; one brother Jasper Findley of Sutton, Nebraska. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18, at the Methodist church in Beaver Crossing with Rev. Harold J. Coates officiating. Interment was in Seward cemetery. Seward County Independent, Seward, NE, Thurs, February 26, 1964
