Frank Yank, son of Anna Wegener and John Yank, was born Oct. 6, 1886, near Lincoln, Nebr. He was baptized Aug. 21, 1887, in Lincoln. On February 1, 1911 he was married to Marie Zavodny. Two daughters and one son came to bless their home. He was a kind husband and father, a genial friend and neighbor and though ailing for several years his sense of humor never deserted him. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Seward, being confirmed May 8, 1931. He leaves to mourn his wife Marie; two daughters Mrs. Alice Dvorak of Napa, Calif; Mrs. Martha Reynolds of Seward; one son, Roy Yank, also of Seward; seven grandchildren, Sharon, David, Alice and Franklin Reynolds and Douglas Theo. and Judith Dvorak. Three brothers, Albert of Pleasant Dale, Max of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Otto Eberhardt of Brule, Nebr., and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bottrell of Pleasant Dale, Nebr. His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church in Seward at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. I. C. Heinicke, in charge. Burial was in the Seward (north) cemetery. Seward Independent, Seward, NE, Jan 8, 1947
