WWII Veteran (either Marine or Navy? Obituary Lubbock Avalanche-Journal (Lubbock,TX) 22 Sept 1977 Snyder (Special) - Services for John V. Gregory, 69 of Snyder, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bell-Seale Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens here under direction of Bell-Seale Funeral Home. Gregory, a Commanche County native, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in Cogdell Memorail Hospital after a lengthy illness. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. J.C. Moore of Snyder, Mrs. mamie Henson of DeLeon, Mrs. Betty Brinson of Commanche, and Mrs. Carrie O'Dell of Plainview and a brother, S.C. of Rising Star.
