Oregonian, The (Portland, OR) - Sunday, June 23, 1996 A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, June 24, 1996, in at Willamette National Cemetery for Alex Haberman, who died June 20 at age 83. Mr. Haberman was born May 19, 1913, in Sutton, Neb. He and had lived in the Vancouver, Wash., area for 50 years. He was a public works inspector for the city of Portland. Surviving are his wife, Opal; sons, Robert Haberman of The Dalles and Bruce C. Byers, Ed Byers and Robert J. Byers, all of Vancouver; brother, Reuben of Greeley, Colo.; sister, Amelia Rokel of Sutton, Neb.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Military Information: WT3, US NAVY
