Salina Journal – Nov. 8, 1968 MANHATTAN - Sister Mary Cordelia Svec, 73, a former resident of Salina and Concordia, died Thursday at St. Mary hospital, Manhattan, She was born April 4, 1895, at Schuyler, Neb. She was a medical technologist and was at St. John's hospital, Salina, from 1914-24 and again from 1944-61 at which time she went to St. Mary hospital, Manhattan. From 1924-44 she was at St. Joseph's hospital, Concordia. Survivors include two brothers, James and Frank Svec, both of Rogers, Neb. The funeral will be at 10:30 am Saturday at the Nazareth Mother House, Concordia, the Rev. Eugene Stehno officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Concordia. Friends may call at the Motherhouse.
