Note the difference in year of birth. The marker shows 1862 while the article has it as 1861. Mrs. Gottlieb Blank, 79, funeral will be held Monday with burial in New Lutheran cemetery. She died 2:45 a.m. Friday at her home in Norfolk. She had suffered a stroke of paralysis on Feb. 16. Wilhelmine Voecks was born Aug. 2,1861 at Pommern, Germany. It was there in 1879 she married Mr. Blank and they came to America in 1883. She was survived by her husband, 10 sons and daughters: Charles, Mrs. Charles Ahlman, Mrs. John Bland all at Norfolk; Mrs. Claud Horsh at Yankton, South Dakota; Mrs. Erven Hille at Glendale, California; Mrs. Elsie Woesaner, Otto, and Leo at Los Angeles, California; Paul at Philadelaphia, Pennsylvania; Mrs. James Gilland at Orchard, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. One daughter Ida died 30 years ago.
