Wife of James Francis Leonard. Daughter of George Boisvert and Elizabeth Ladd OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, January 9, 1941 MRS. DELLA B. LEONARD Della Boisvert, daughter of George and Elizabeth Boisvert, was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on February 10, 1897, and departed this life at the General Nursing Home in Chariton, Iowa, on January 1, 1941, at the age of 43 years, 10 months and 22 days. She had been in failing health for some time, but death was due to a heart attack. She was united in marriage in 1913 to James Leonard of Chariton, who departed this life in 1933. To this union seven children were born, four sons and three daughters, one of whom, an infant son, preceded her in death. Those left to mourn their loss are her children, Mrs. Catherine Sanders, of Chariton; James Leonard, of Newton; Mrs. Helen Oswalt, of Chariton; and Lawrence, Billy and Betty Leonard, at home in this city; one granddaughter, Julie Ann Sanders, of Chariton; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Ladd, of La Crosse, Wisc.; and three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Vivian Cobel, Mrs. Hattie Higgins, Marjorie Ladd and George and Roy Ladd, all of La Crosse, Wisc. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Chas. O'Connor, were held at the Sacred Heart church Saturday morning at ten o'clock, and burial was in Calvary cemetery. Obituary courtesy of Darlene Arnold
