Pauline Floy (Vinson) Hollar, 83, a past Dumont resident, passed away July 14, 2011 in Amarillo, TX FAMILY VISITATION will be from 6pm till 8pm, Friday, July 15th at McBee Family Funeral Home of Paducah. FUNERAL SERVICE will be at 10 am, Saturday, July 16th also at the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Valentin officiating. Interment will follow in Paducah Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial donations to the BSA Hospice of Amarillo or the Paducah Cemetery Fund. Pauline was born June 8, 1928 in White Star, TX to Hugh & Emma Vinson. In 1945 she married Harmon "Red" Vinson, Jr. and together they raised their family in the farming / ranching way of life. She was a dedicated wife and mother who focused her attention on caring for her home and family. Pauline was a member of the Baptist Church and the Daughters of Rebekah. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren gave great meaning to her life. Pauline would want to be remembered for her home cooking (turkey & dressing and pies were her speciality.) In her quiet time Pauline worked on caring for her house plants and flowers, gardening, sewing, watching old movies and Westerns, and playing with her dog "Tuffy". Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 31 years, "Red" Hollar, 1 son - Billie Hollar, 3 brothers - Paul (twin), Frank & Marshall Vinson, 2 sisters - Virginia Steele and Mildred Key and 2 grandsons - Noah & Tanner Escoto. She is survived by 4 sons - Howard, Hal, Harlon, of Amarillo and Harmon,Jr of Oklahoma, City. 3 daughters - Hope Escoto, Heiadi Kenney both of Amarillo and Holly Graham of Huntsville, 1 brother - Garner Vinson of Ocala, FL. 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren ( who called her ‘Mamaw").
