Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 1995 for Larry Olaf Eldhardt at the Warner Funeral Home in Sutherland. Pastor Walter Quandt officiated. Interment was in Waterman Cemetery in Sutherland. Mr. Eldhardt passed away at the home of his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wanda and Willard Plagman in Spencer, on July 21, 1995, at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Leo, Holgar and Carl. Larry Olaf Eldhardt, son of Julius and Mary Christensen Eldhardt, was born July 13,1918 in Randolph, NE. His childhood years were spent in that community where he received his early education in country schools. Mr. Eldhardt married Alvena Ginger on November 26, 1941, in Spencer. During the early years of their marriage, the couple farmed in the Sutherland, Peterson and Rossie area. After retiring from farming in 1959, Larry was self-employed as a carpenter. In 1978, Larry and Alvena moved to Moville, where they were presently making their home. Larry is survived by his wife, Alvena "Bea" of Moville, one son, Terry Lee Eldhardt and his wife, Yong Hui and one grandson, William Tell all from Hinsville, GA; twin sisters, Marie Daum and Mary Meyer, both of Pilger, NE; four sisters-in-law: Ruth Eldhardt of Kennewick, WA; Sophie Eldhardt of Pierce, NE; Dons Eldhardt of Akron; Wanda - Mrs. Willard Plagman of Spencer; other relatives and friends.
