Joseph Allen Huffman, 77, retired long-time public school employee, died in his home at 612 Blevins Friday morning. Huffman had been ill with cancer for about a year. He was retired two years ago as a school custodian. His 34 years with the schools had been spent at Paschal High. The native of Hamilton was married and came to Fort Worth in 1905. He was his wife observed their golden wedding anniversary Jan. 30, 1955. Huffman was a member of the Riverside Evangelistic Temple. Survivors include his wife; two sons, W.A. and R.A. Huffman of Fort Worth; two daughters, Mmes. T.O. Rogers of Dallas and Annie Mae Bryan of Fort Worth; three brothers, W.E. Huffman and R.A. Cunningham both of Fort Worth, and James Huffman of Dallas; three sisters, Mmes. Zine Powell and Nancy Hood of Fort Worth and Hattie Hartsfield of Wichita Falls, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Riverside church, with burial in Mount Olivet, directed by Guardian. Pallbearers will be Horace Thurman, Hugo Brandt, Frank Thompson, Buddy Lynch, John Jones and Ross Driskill.
