Mountain Democrat (Placerville, CA), Thursday, June 28, 1945, Page 1: "AUDLEY EMMETT McFARLAND Funeral Services were held Sunday at Memory Chapel, the Rev. J. R. Rudin officiating, for Audley Emmett McFarland, who died on Friday. Interment was at Union Cemetery. Mr. McFarland was a native of Medicine Hat, Canada, born February 7, 1911, and was a son of Mrs. Ann Makinster of Placerville. A Placerville resident about two years, he had been serving in the merchant marine. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Nelson, of Placerville, and Mrs. Wilma Frenchette of Diamond Springs, a brother, Lyle McFarland, of Placerville, and by his father, resident at Bay City, Oregon."
