Bio

William Easton Chinn, 74, former well known farmer and sheepman in Jefferson and Bonneville Counties, died Friday afternoon at his home in Nampa following an operation he underwent two weeks ago. The body was returned to Idaho Falls Saturday afternoon by the wood Funeral Home. Services will be announced later. He was born June 17, 1877, in St. George, Utah, and received his education there. He married Olive Isabelle Leavitt in the St. George, Utah, LDS Temple April 23, 1913. In 1927 they moved to Rigby where he was engaged in farming and sheep raising. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1936 where they resided until three and a half years ago when they moved to Nampa. He was an elder in the LDS Church. Besides his widow, he is survived by the following sons and daughters: William Chinn, Toledo, Ore.; Staff Sgt. D. L. Chinn, Fort Mammonth, N. J., Arthur J. Chinn, Nampa; Mrs. Rex Lee Hillborough, Ore.; Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Chinn, with occupational troops in Germany; Mrs. J. E. McEtherne, and Blance Chinn, Mrs. Eugene Johnson, and MRs. Lenia Brower all of Idaho Falls; Jack Chinn and Geneva Chinn both of Nampa; by eight grandchildren, one half brother and two sisters, Orson Hammond and Mrs. Abby Pace, New Harmony, Utah and Mrs. Mary Duffin, Aberdeen. All the sons and daughters were with him before he died except Sgt. First Class Leonard K. Chinn who has not been heard from since he was reported missing in action in Korea.
