Bio
Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Myrtle Augusta Griffiths Myers, age 91, of Roosevelt, passed away June 30, 2011 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones. Myrtle was born Dec. 16, 1919 in Beaver, Utah, to Thomas Lewis and Minnie Halsey Griffiths. She married Orrin 'Hun' Myers June 10, 1949. He died Feb. 16, 1991. Along with the 'love of her life, her husband 'Hun,' Myrtle loved her family; they were the most important thing to her. She delighted in each new arrival and cherished the chance to watch each of them grow. She also enjoyed working side by side with Hun raising hogs. She is survived by her children, Robert (Sharon) Rollins, Seattle, Wash.; Jennette (Ford) Larsen, Roosevelt; daughter-in-law, Margaret Rollins, Layton; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Orrin 'Hun' Myers, son David Rollins, daughter, Alyce Kaye Rollins, grandson, Blane Wisener and all 7 of her brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held Wed., July 6 at the Beaver Cemetery at 3 p.m. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service at the LDS Church on Main Street in Beaver.
