Bio

The Rev. Walter E. Stetson was born 3 Feb 1861 in Galveston County, Texas. His parents were Oliver F. Stetson and Lethann Coward Stetson. His mother died when he was a small child. Walter married Sarah Leona Smith 5 Oct 1887 in Liberty County. To this union there were 12 children. Leona died in childbirth with her 12th child. Walter was a preacher and a cowboy, known for his abilities to break horses. He died after being hit by an automobile while walking home from church.
