Services for Casper resident Rosey Mary Meester, 83, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home and Crematory by James Dixon of the United Pentecostal Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service—time. She died Jan. 2, 2005, at Life Care Center of Casper. Born Feb. 14, l921, in Cowles, Neb., she was the daughter of George Thomas and Fannie (Maruska) Kempkes; and was raised and educated in Nebraska. On Aug. 16, 1938, she married Alfred "Al" Meester in Superior, Neb. He died Dec. 8, 2004, in an automobile accident. She was a devoted wife and mother and her family was special to her. Her interests included quilting,playing bingo, and working word ouzzles. She loved to play the nickel slots in Las Vegas. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Survivors include four daughters, Patriea Ann Clapp of Caulfield, Mo., Mary L. Miller of Glenrock and Carol Anderson and Sharon Brossett, both of Casper; son, Richard Meester of Kennewiek, Wash.; sister, Lucille Thurber of Nelson, Neb.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great—grand-children. In addition to her husband of 66 years, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rosalie Adams; a brother; and four sisters.
