LifeStory When Donald Edwin Hurley was born on March 2, 1925, in Lawton, Oklahoma, his father, John C Hurley Sr. (1888–1936), was 37 and his mother, Mary Luella Elliott (1886–1971), was 38. He married Reta Jean Walters on July 1, 1943, in Comanche, Oklahoma. They had three children during their marriage: Roy Gene Hurley Edwin Lee "Ed" Hurley Jack Ray Hurley He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from Jul. 7, 1943 to Jul. 5, 1949. Donald and Reta were divorced in 1968 at Tucson, Arizona. He died on May 15, 2008, in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 83, and was buried in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Comanche County, Oklahoma.
