She was born to Bonnie D. Steger and Mabel Loveta McCurry. Preceded in death by her husband, Leon Caplinger on January 13, 2001. She is survived by her son Dick Caplinger and wife Jennifer of Richardson, Texas; Grandson's Marty Caplinger and wife Jennifer of McKinney, Texas; Richard Caplinger and wife Julie of Dallas, Texas; Great Grandchildren Avery, Cole Madeline and Sophia Caplinger; Nephew Tom Penny; Cousin's O.L. Steger III, Cindy Sue Patrick, Dianna Wade Chapman, Pauline Ferache Nell Steger and Sue Steger Whitehead. She loved her Daughter -in-law Jennifer, her Grandson's Richard and Marty; their wives' Julie and Jennifer and especially her Great Grandchildren, whom she did get to see many times! She was one of the original Model's for Sakowitz in the 1950's! She loved being a model. They had a lot of fun during the past several years going to different Restaurant's in Houston. She appreciated all of her friends calling her in Dallas and sending cards. She enjoyed her work in Real Estate as an Apartment locator in Houston. She was Past President of the Houston Apartment Locator's Association. She was an avid golfer as well as an Astros, Oilers and Texans fan!
