Alice Cornelia Jepson Gibson was born June 11, 1884, at Mead Neb., and died Aug. 7, 1918, at the age of 34 years 1 month and 27 days. She was confirmed May 14, 1899, at the Swedish Lutheran church at Mead, Neb. and was married to John O. Gibson, May 22, 1907. To this union was born three children: Golden, Cordon and Gladys who are left without loving mother's tender care. After a year's illness she passed away leaving to mourn her, besides her husband and children, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jepson, three sisters and three brothers and a number of relatives, and friends. The funeral services were conducted the following Sunday at the Lutheran church in Mead, by Rev. C. O. Gulleen, of Swedeberg, who preached I Cor. 15:42-43. The beautiful casket was borne by the four brothers in law of the deceased preceded by six nieces, bearing the flowers which were profuse and beautiful. The church was filled by the numerous friends, many of who followed the remains to their last resting place in the Lutheran cemetery. Thus was shown the last respect to this wife and mother whose christian character was shown by the patience with which she bore her lingering illness.
