From the March 13, 2000, edition of The Quad-City Times (Davenport, IA) DAVENPORT -- Daniel J. Bork, 85, Davenport, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. He was employed at Oscar Mayer & Co. for 32 years. He was born Sept. 17, 1914, in Buffalo County, Wis. He married Mary Everhart in 1942 in Winona, Minn. During World War II, he served in the Army in the Far East. Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deanna Welfer, Moline; a son, Donald, Davenport; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
