Page 2B The Hamilton Herald-News Thursday, May 7, 2009 Eldor Walter Wenzel, 80, of Hamilton, died May 1, 2009 in the Hamilton General Hospital. Funeral services were held May 4 in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aleman with Pastor Kirklen officiating. Burial followed in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton. Mr. Wenzel was born July 16, 1928 in Hamilton, the son of Walter and Martha Siems Wenzel. He was married to Charlotte Magee in Waco on Feb. 28, 1953. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aleman where he was an elder for many years. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. For most of his life he worked as a farmer and rancher and also had several different jobs in Hamilton County. He worked for the Lawson Gin, Hamilton County, and managed the Perry Country Club for 6 ½ years. Mr. Wenzel was a big man with a bigger heart who never met a stranger and gave his entire life to his Lord God and also to his family. He was preceded in death by; 1 brother, Herbert Wenzel and 1 nephew, Milton Wenzel. Survivors include his wife; two children, Debbie Bosse and her husband Mike, and Roger Wenzel and his wife Mary; three grandchildren, Walter Bosse and his wife Rachael, Kristi Eller, and Shelli Blanchard; six great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Aubrey, Taylor, Emily, Avery, and Colton; a sister-in-law, Alice Rollins; two nieces, Ann Terry and her husband James, and Diane Harrison and her husband Dennis, a nephew, Ron Willinborg and his wife Charlotte, as well as numerous other cousins and dear friends and a special pet dog, J.J. Serving as pallbearers were; Lee Roy Tyson, Charlie Bottlinger, Jody Tyson, Randy Yates, Jerry Van Willinborg, Gary Voges, Mario Gonzales, and Cecil Wenzel. Honorary pallbearers were; Esteen Bottlinger, Raymond Wenzel, Melvin Wenzel, Ernst Peters, Irvin Siems, Clarence Wenzel, Merlin Bottlinger, John Alexander, Dr. Randy Lee, and Harvey Siems.
