Bio

GILBERT B. COOK G.B. Cook, 54, died Wednesday of last week at 11 p.m. at his home in the Ragtown community following a lengthy illness due to high blood pressure and complications. Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Old Bethel Cemetery, with Rev. Robinson, who is conducting a Church of Christ revival at LaRue, in charge. Interment arrangements were made by South-Hassell of Palestine. Mr. Cook was born near Frankston on January 10, 1880, and had resided in this section all his life. In 1921, he became a member of the Church of Christ, always living in respect to his beliefs. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Byron, Joe Dean, and G.B. Jr., all of this place, three daughters, Mrs. Harold DeLong and Mrs. Lee Parker of Frankston, and Mrs. O.C. Maine of Maydelle; three sisters, two brothers; and a host of friends.
