Services for Opal H. Tucker, 83, of Lufkin were held October 19, 2000 in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Gann Cemetery. Mrs. Tucker was born Nov. 12, 1916 in Cherokee County, Texas to Lena (Smith) and Tom Findley and died Oct. 16, 2000 in a local hospital. Mrs. Tucker had resided in Lufkin most of her life and was retired from Atkinson Candy Company where she was employed for 25 years. The was a member of Third Street Baptist church. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Pat Tucker of Lufkin Daughters and sons-in-law: Rose and James Allen Nancy and Elmer Shoemaker Jean and Johnny Kendrick, all of Lufkin Granddaughters: Beverly McAdams, Debbie Dunn, Donna Donnell, Cindy Kline, Mitzie Tucker and Jena Johnson Grandsons: David Allen, Keith Allen, Delwin Shoemaker, Dennis Shoemaker, Danny Shoemaker, Rusty Tucker, Mike Tucker, Robbie Tucker, Rodney Tucker, Darin Kendrich and Jared Kendrick Great-grandchildren: 26 Great-great-grandchildren: 5 Half-sister, Edith Smith of Dallas, Texas Half-brother: Kirby Lee Bailey of Vidor and Marshall (Pete) Bailey of Wells sisters-in-law, Iva Veal of Lufkin and Audrey Tucker of Pollok Special Friend: Geneva McFrland of Lufkin Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, Gresham Tucker and son, Robert Tucker.
