Bio

EL CAMPO -- Mrs. Emma Bilek, 72, resident of the El Campo community for the past 58 years, died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1903 in Dubina, Fayette County. The body will lie in state at the Triska Funeral Home Chapel until 1 p.m. Tuesday, when it will be taken to St. John's Catholic Church in Taiton for Requiem Mass at 2 p.m. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. A. Petru will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Sohre of El Campo; a son, J. J. Bilek of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two brothers, John Nohavitza of Taiton and Edmund Nohavitza of El Campo; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
