HOUSTON - Albina Sliva Ray, 92, of Houston, formerly of El Campo, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. She was born June 18, 1919, in El Campo to the late Henry and Julia Bilek Sliva. She was a retired hospital nurse aide. She is survived by her daughters, Harriet Kline and her husband James of Pearland and Janet Mitchell and her husband Frank of Fulton; daughter-in-law, Linda Piwonka of Angleton; 7 grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max J. Ray; son, Lawrence Piwonka; sisters, Mary Kubesch, Elizabeth Koenig, Henrietta Dettling; and brother, Jerome Sliva. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 12, 2011 from 2 - 6 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. A parish rosary will be offered 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at St. John Catholic Church in Taiton. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m., with Fr. Gabriel Oduro-Tawiah officiating. Interment will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Taiton. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
