OBITUARY ~ Mary Ann Galbreath of Katy, Texas, age 86, was welcomed into the gates of heaven on Thursday April 4, 2019. Mary Ann was born on February 18, 1933, in May, Texas to Horace and Bertha Jane Robason. She was a 1951 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown and a graduate of East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. Mary Ann received her Master in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. It was at ETBU that she met the love of her life, Marion E. Galbreath. They were married December 20, 1953. She taught second and third grade for 29 years at Lancaster Independent School District until she retired in 1989. Mary Ann had a servant’s heart and enjoyed caring for others. She always had lots of friends and loved to entertain. Her pride and joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Bertha Jane Robason of Lancaster, Texas and her husband Marion E. Galbreath of Lancaster, Texas. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Beth Fortier and son in law, John Fortier of Katy, Texas; and her beloved twin grandchildren Claire and Trent Fortier of Katy, Texas. A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, in Katy on Monday April 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Brad Flurry officiating.
