Denis Koliba, 70, of Victoria, Texas, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010. He was born October 8, 1940 in Gonzales County to the late Willie and Ella Hajek Koliba. He retired from Alcoa after 36 years and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Mary Ann Koliba of Victoria; daughters Diana Sue Koliba of Richmond and Denise Koliba Cox of Cypress; grandson Travis Wesley Cox of Cypress; sisters Elizabeth "Betty" Mokry of Sinton, Mildred Janis of Bloomington, and Irene Lidner of San Antonio; brothers Anton Koliba of Victoria, Jerry Koliba of Indiana, Eugene Koliba of Weslaco, Leonard Koliba, Paul Koliba and David Koliba all of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Herbert, Patrick, George and Henry Koliba. Visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Reverend George Henninger officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include Kenneth Koliba, Christopher Fojtika, Jesse Lidner, Michael Mokry, Anthony Janis and John Anthony Koliba. Arrangements by Colonial Funeral Home, 1801 E. Red River, Victoria, Texas.
