JANU, 81 SAUK RAPIDS JUNE 29, 1925 - SEPT. 4, 2006 Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge for Paul L. Janu, age 81, who died Monday at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. Pastoral Associate Darcy Troville will officiate and burial will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Maine, MN. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church in Breckenridge and one hour prior to the services Friday also at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements were made by Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids. Paul was born June 29, 1925 in Abercrombie, ND to August & Barbara (Wilfaert) Janu. He married Adeline Mavis, and she later died. He then married Fran Lorenson on Oct. 22, 1982 in Cannon Falls. Paul lived in Cannon Falls prior to moving to Sauk Rapids in 1998. He was a carman for Burlington Northern Railroad for over 30 years. Survivors include his sisters, Anne Klein of Breckenridge, and Mary Chezik of Wahpeton, ND. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Adeline and Fran; brothers, Anton, Eutychius, and John Janu; and sisters, Christine Horky, Freida Gerig, Martha Tuna, and Gertrude Holecek.
