Vivian M. Burns, 86, of North Platte, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. Vivian was born Aug. 5, 1924, at Dannebrog to Arthur L. and Ollie (Wilson) Mortensen.On July 24, 1950, she married Harold Burns at St. Libory. He preceded her in death.Survivors are: children, Steve (Jackie) of North Platte, Gary (Sandra) of Denver, Mary Jane (Jerry) Shultz of Guide Rock, John (Candy) of North Platte, Jean (Tom) Carstensen of Omaha; 14 grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Cathy Mortensen of Nashville.Burial was in Floral Lawns Cemetery, North Platte, NE.
