GOLDING, JEANNETTE 11 Apr 1920 10 Nov 2005 (P) 85 33134 (Miami, Miami-dade, FL) 33138 (Miami, Miami-dade, FL) Nebraska ∼ GOLDING, JEANNETTE EILEEN, was born in DuBois, Nebraska, on April 11, 1920. She passed away peacefully on November 10th with her daughters at her side. The eldest daughter of Margaret & Dr. Charles Zimmerer, she and her younger sister Monnie grew up in Nebraska City. A graduate of the U. of Nebraska with degrees in Music & Education, she and her beloved husband, Bill and their 5 children moved from Lincoln, Nebraska to Miami in 1957. A member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, she was a Eucharistic minister and an active member of the development board. Deeply involved with the Learn to Read Volunteers Program she worked tirelessly to overcome adult illiteracy. A lifelong singer & pianist Jeannette loved singing in the St. Rose Choir and the Barry University Chorus, and playing and singing for the senior citizens at Villa Maria in North Miami and the preschoolers at James E. Scott Community Center. She was an active member of the Junior League and created the first live children's musical television program in Lincoln. After moving to Miami she continued her service to the community through the Junior League, Diocese of Miami, the Florida Philharmonic and the Chopin Foundation. She loved traveling, rose gardening, playing bridge, swimming, golfing with Bill and the "Golf Gang" and her Book Club. She could often be found Oceanside at the Bath Club or Surf Club reading and enjoying the company of her family and friends. To know her was to love her. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her many friends and her children, Diane G. Goldman and her husband Dan, Charles Gregg Golding, W. Kent Golding, Gayle A. Golding and Gary P. Golding and her grandchildren Adam, Josh, Warne, Fallon, Colin, Brooke, Glenna, Gregg, Jr., and her great grandson, Ryan. Visitation will be held at Koffer-Kolski- Combs Funeral Home (305-754-7544) in Miami, FL, on November 13 , 2005 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A mass celebrating her life will be held in her honor at St. Rose of Lima Church in Miami Shores, FL, (305-758-0539) on Monday November 14, 2005 at 1:00 p. m.
