Leontine Mary Klabzuba Published: Wed, May 22, 1996 In "The Oklahoman" newspaper KLABZUBA Leontine Mary, 72, died May 20, 1996, at her home in Prague, after a long battle with cancer. She was born near Prague on March 28, 1924, the daughter of Paul & Agnes (Martinek) Kuban. She attended Paden schools and was graduated with the class of 1943. After graduation, she entered business college in Shawnee and later worked as an executive secretary in the insurance business. She was married to Joe J. Klabzuba at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague on May 18, 1948. To this union, 4 children were born. Leontine was a very active member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, serving on the Parish Council and as a member of the Altar Society. Her civic involvement included being a member of the Board of Directors of the Prague Historical Society, a member of PEO, the Federated Arts Club and the Prague Rose Garden Club. A devoted wife and mother, she dearly loved her family and friends and was self-sacrificing in her support of them. Survivors include her husband, Joe J. Klabzuba, of the home; 4 sons & 2 daughters-in-law, Robert & Ruth Klabzuba, Edmond, Ok, Joe Paul Klabzuba, Prague, John & Georgia Klabzuba, Tulsa, Ok, Jim Klabzuba, Prague; sister & brother-in-law, Irene & Joe Sykora, Stroud; brother-in-law & his wife, Robert & Doris Klabzuba, Ft. Worth, Tx; 3 grandchildren, Mary, James & Andrew Klabzuba, all of Edmond; several cousins, nephews & nieces. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 10:30 a.m., in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr officiating. Vigil service, followed by recitation of the Rosary, will be Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. in Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in the Prague Cemetery.
