NEFF SR., CHARLES MALCOLM Died Tuesday, July 25, 1995, in Austin, Texas, following a brief illness. He was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Baton Rouge where he grew up, and was a resident of St. Petersburg, Fla., from 1958-76. He was employed by Thompson & McKinnon Co. brokerage firm and in 1976 retired to Louisiana where he resided until August 1993, when he moved to Austin. He was a U.S. Navy lieutenant pilot and veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, having flown in the Pacific. Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 12346 La. Highway 416, Lakeland, at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife of 51 years, Rozelle Elaine Neff; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Malcolm Neff Jr. and Laura Neff, Houston, and their children, Charles M. Neff III, Lisa R. Neff and Jessica B. Neff; and Gregory Stephen Neff and Lanell Neff, Austin, and their daughter, Virginia Nicole; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Elaine Mitchell and O. Leonard Mitchell, Atlanta, Ga., and their children, Matthew and Meredith Mitchell; a brother, Thomas Gordon Neff, Houston; and a sister, Mary Alice Gooch, Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas Wallace Neff and Alice Rougon Neff. He attended LSU where his father was a longtime professor in mechanical engineering.
