From the Bryan (TX) Daily Eagle , Monday, February 7, 1938, p. 1: Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the home at Shiloh, near College Station, for Mrs. Josephine Stasney, whose death came this afternoon at a local hospital. The deceased, who was 79 years of age, was brought to Bryan for an operation Saturday. Her husband passed away only last July. Survivors include a son, Hugo F. Stasney, and six daughters, Mesdames J. M. Boriskie, Lawrence Krenek, Theodore Krenek, Hy. T. Schovajsa, Tom Murray, and Emma Barta, all of whom live in Brazos county, and a seventh daughter, Mrs. J. J. Krenek, of Los Angeles, Calif.
