From the Bryan (TX) Daily Eagle , Sunday, October 9, 1966, p. 4: Walter V. Quick, 54, of Lamar, Ark., died Friday in a Little Rock, Ark. hospital. Funeral services for the native of Ulster Park, N.Y., will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Hillier Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the College Station Cemetery. Mr. Quick, a boat construction worker, was a veteran of World War II. He was stationed at Bryan Air Force base during the war. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frances Boriskie Quick of Lamar, Ark.; a son, Walter V. Quick Jr. of Ulster Park, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Marion McAvoy of Balitmore, Md. and his father, Earl Quick of Ulter Park, N.Y. Pallbearers named include Domingo Villareal, Frank Boriskie, Jack Fugate, Lt. Col. Edward Hrdlicka, Hawley West and Herbert West.
