Bio

Martha Kelly Copenhaver, 96, of Marion, died Monday, February 24, 1997, in the Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. Miss Copenhaver was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of the Marion College and the Stuart Circle Hospital School of Nursing, Richmond, the School of Public Health Nursing, Richmond, and Professional Institute of William & Mary College. She is survived by one sister, Miss Roberta M. Copenhaver of Marion; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 27, at 11 a.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Michael Zumpf officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church, 365 W. Main Street, Marion, Va. or Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, c/o Marion Russell, 235 E. Main Street, Marion, Va. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. Roanoke Times, Feb. 26, 1997
