Obituary courtesy of Matt Cross . From the Dallas Morning News , Thursday, December 25, 1952: BRYAN, Texas, Dec. 24.-- Funeral services for Albin E. Barta, 52, 715 Woodlawn, Dallas, will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Bryan at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Orin Helvey officiating. Burial will be in College Station Cemetery. Barta died in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bonham Tuesday. A native of Bryan, the deceased was a member of St. Andrew's Church and a veteran of World War I. Earl Graham Post, American Legion, Bryan, will conduct military services at the grave side. Survivors are his wife, of Dallas; his father, J. J. Barta, College Station; three sisters, Mrs. George Lanicek of Bryan, Mrs. Emily Petuy of Ennis and Mrs. Agnes Plasek, Port Arthur, and three brothers, Louis Barta of League City, Bill Barta of Bryan and Ernest Barta of Oceanside, Calif.
