husband of Amelia Johnson Strother Alexandria Daily Town Talk (LA) April 6, 1999 JB Arnold Strother PITKIN - Services for JB Arnold Strother will be at 2 p.m. today in Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Van Moreau and James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Occupy No. 1 Cemetery under direction of Ardoin, Oakdale. Strother, 84, of Pitkin died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in Oakdale Community Hospital. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Amelia Strother of Pitkin one son, Walter Strother of Pitkin one daughter, Marilyn Sue Crumpler of Spurger, Texas one sister, Urel Le West of Pitkin eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
