Houston Chronicle, September 24, 2002: Courtney "Hap" Armbruster passed away Monday, September 23, 2002, at the age of 87. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. James House, 5800 West Baker Street, Baytown, Texas 77520 in memory of Hap Armbruster. Family and friends will gather for a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2002, at St. James House in Baytown, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 25, 2002, at Live Oak Cemetery in Buda, Texas, with The Reverend James Nelson officiating. He was born in Hays County, Texas on September 25, 1914. He worked for many years for a water well drilling company. Hap is survived by his wife, Marie Armbruster of Friendswood, Texas; two daughters, Margaret Wilson and husband, Dr. Darr Wilson, of Friendswood, Texas, and Robin Surguy of Austin, Texas; his son, Courtney "Wayne" Armbruster and wife, Rebecca, of Granbury, Texas; five grandchildren, Darcy Lyons and husband, Kevin, of San Diego, California, Darr Wilson and wife, Kim, of Alvin, Texas, Richie Surguy and wife, Christi, of Baytown, Texas, Randy Surguy and wife, Jaime, of Houston, Texas, and Robbie Surguy and wife, Heidi, of Crosby, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Travis Wilson of Alvin, Texas, and Matthew, Toby, Keegan, and Kyle Lyons of San Diego, California.
