Patsy Ruth Knight Beasley A memorial service for Patsy Ruth Knight Beasley, 80, Tyler, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011, at noon at Stewart Family Funeral Home chapel with Dr. J. Prentis McGee officiating. Ms. Beasley passed away peacefully at her home in Tyler on June 8, 2011. She was born on Oct. 21, 1930, in Fort Worth to William Thomas Knight and Mary Belle Austin Knight. She graduated from Amon Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth in 1948. Patsy attended Tyler Junior College where she studied her love of literature and real estate. Ms. Beasley was the owner/operator of LeChen Gallery in Tyler for many years and she later worked in the real estate business and for 35 years in the oil and gas business as a petroleum landman. Ms. Beasley was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William "Billy Dan" Knight. Ms. Beasley is survived by a loving family including her two sons, Mark Goughnour and wife Jody Goughnour, and K. David Goughnour, both of Tyler; grandchildren, Matt Goughnour of Houston, Katy Goughnour of Houston, Thomas Goughnour of Tyler, Kelsey Goughnour of Gilmer, Paul Goughnour and wife Laura Goughnour of Little Elm, Caitlin Goughnour of Arcata, Calif., and Devon Goughnour of Shreveport, La.; and three great-grandchildren, Claire Goughnour, Emily Goughnour and Benjamin Goughnour. Visitation is scheduled for June 11, 2011, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway (Farm-to-Market Road 2493), Tyler. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Patsy Beasley may be made to the local chapter of The Salvation Army, 633 N. Broadway Ave., Tyler, 75702.
