Helen L. Hayes (July 10, 1915 - June 10, 2011) Helen L. Hayes, 95, of Mount Carmel, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Oakview Heights Continuous Care and Rehab, Mt. Carmel. She was born on July 10, 1915 in Crawford County, Indiana, the daughter of John and Addie (Kamp) Morgan. She married Frank Hayes on December 25, 1949, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1978. Helen was a member of the Bellmont Christian Church, Bellmont, IL. She worked for Meissners. She is survived by her sister, Minnie Shain of Bellmont and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Addie Morgan; husband, Frank Hayes; five brothers, Millard, Robert, Harry, Paul and Russel; and five sisters, Gladys Holcomb, Garnet Fitzgerrel, Annie Eads, Rachel Morgan and Pauline Anderson. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Bethel Cemetery, Bellmont, IL. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
