Obit in Lake Charles American Press 6-10-2011. Age 94. Bessie Mae Cook, 94, of Singer, Louisiana passed from this life on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in DeQuincy, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. all at Smokey Cove Pentecostal Church in Singer, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Smokey Cove Pentecostal Church in Singer. Rev. C.E. Cooley, Rev. Donnis Ashworth & Rev. Charles Nugent will officiate. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer. She is survived by Sons: Clyde Clark & wife Carolyn of DeQuincy, LA Dean Clark & wife Alda Kay of Singer, LA Luther Smith of Singer, LA Daughters: Elaine Droddy of Lake Charles, LA Betty Hudson & husband Earl of DeQuincy, LA Sister: Ellaweise "Bug" Lambert of DeRidder, LA 24 Grandchildren 50 Great Grandchildren 6 Great Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by 3 sons - Charles Clark, Sr., Paul Smith & Jr. Smith 3 Grandsons - Ricky Droddy, Andy Smith & Doon Doon Smith 4 Sisters & 1 Brother
