"Robert Medlin, 57, of Austin, Texas, passed from this life on August 21, 2004. He was born in Lubbock, Texas, to Robert Glen and Ethel (Shelton) Medlin on August 18, 1947. Robert graduated from Tahoka High School in 1965 and went on to Texas Tech University where he majored in English with a minor in Spanish. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971. Bob married Debbie Barker on January 24, 1969. He was a dedicated, loving husband and father and a faithful member of Bannockburn Baptist Church where he was loved by all who knew him. Bob retired from Whataburger, Inc. in January of 2003 after 15 years of service as the Director of Purchasing and Quality Assurance in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by father, Robert Glen Medlin in 1968; son, Darren Glen Medlin June 12, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, of 35 years, of Austin, Texas; daughter, Kelli and husband Doug Andrews and daughters, Ashton Kay, Morgan Elizabeth and Robyn Lea, of Austin, Texas; daughter-in- law, Gina Medlin and daughters, Sarah Nicole and Laura Renee of Roanoke, Texas; step-granddaughter, Crystal Free of McKinney, Texas; step-grandson, Bobby Free of Princeton, Texas; mother, Ethel Medlin; brother, Wendell and wife, Karen Medlin; father and mother-in-law, Waymon and Polly Barker, all of Lubbock, Texas; brothers-in-law, Monte and wife, Lou Barker of Littlefield, Texas, Jeff and wife Beth Barker of Lubbock, Texas; sister-in-law, Janis and husband, Don Brooks of La Porte, Texas; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends...."
